UNIMED Governing Council Promotes Four Staff to Professorial Ranking, Approves Establishment of Two New Faculties.
The Governing Council of UNIMED has promoted four academic staff members of the University and also approved the establishment of two new Faculties.

During the Council's 23rd meeting, the Governing Council of the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo, has promoted four staff to professorial ranking and has approved to the establishment of two new faculties.
The newly approved faculties are the Faculty of Health Law and Humanities and the Faculty of Multidisciplinary Studies. This decision was reached during the Council's 23rd meeting held on Thursday, August 22, 2024.
This was disclosed in the Weekly Bulletin of the University on Monday, August 26, 2024.
The move to create these faculties aims to enhance the academic structure of UNIMED, providing students with specialized programs and interdisciplinary learning opportunities. With the addition of these faculties, UNIMED continues its commitment to excellence in education and research.
On the other hand, the Governing Council also met to promote the academic staff to professorial ranking in the same meeting. The newly promoted academic staff are: Dr Oluseyi Adejumo: Professor, Internal Medicine, Faculty of Clinical Sciences; Dr Oyetunde Oyeyemi: Professor, Department of Biosciences and Biotechnology, Faculty of Science; Dr Olorunfemi Ogundele: Associate Professor, Department of Community Medicine, Faculty of Clinical Sciences; Dr Abraham Oladebeye: Associate Professor, Department of Science Laboratory Technology, Faculty of Science.
