Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has commenced registration for its 2026 Post-UTME screening exercise for candidates seeking admission into the institution for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has commenced registration for its 2026 Post-UTME screening exercise for candidates seeking admission into the institution for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The university said the screening is open to candidates who chose UNIOSUN as their first-choice institution in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), as well as those willing to change their first-choice institution to UNIOSUN.

According to the admission guidelines, candidates must have scored a minimum of 160 in the 2026 UTME to be eligible for the screening exercise.

However, the university stated that candidates who scored below 200 will not be considered for admission into the following programmes:

  • Law
  • Nursing
  • Medicine
  • Islamic Law

Candidates who selected any of the listed programmes but scored below the required 200 marks have been advised to change to other relevant programmes offered by the university.

The institution also stated that, in line with the national admission policy, candidates who will be below 16 years of age as of September 30, 2026, are not eligible to apply.

Eligible candidates are required to complete their application online through the university's admission portal. After submission, applicants are expected to print two copies of the completed application form.

For Direct Entry applicants, the university said candidates must complete the online application, obtain the 2026 Direct Entry form from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), participate in the screening exercise and forward their academic transcripts to the Registrar of Osun State University on or before Friday, September 4, 2026.

The university noted that this requirement also applies to candidates from its IJMB and JUPEB programmes seeking admission through Direct Entry.

On admission requirements, UNIOSUN stated that candidates must possess at least five credit passes in relevant subjects in SSCE, NECO or NABTEB obtained in not more than two sittings.

However, candidates applying for:

  • Medicine
  • Nursing
  • Law
  • Islamic Law

must have five relevant credit passes in SSCE or NECO obtained in one sitting.

The university added that Direct Entry candidates may be admitted with a minimum of Lower Credit qualification where applicable.

Applicants were advised to provide accurate information during registration, warning that any candidate found to have submitted false information or forged documents would face prosecution, have their admission withdrawn and forfeit any fees paid.

Candidates awaiting O'Level results were also advised to upload their results within one week of their release, while all applicants must participate in the screening exercise to be considered for admission.

UNIOSUN further reminded candidates that admission for the 2026/2027 academic session will be processed through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board's Central Admission Processing System (CAPS). It urged applicants to upload their O'Level results to the JAMB CAPS portal, describing it as a mandatory requirement for admission.

The university also disclosed that all successful candidates would undergo a compulsory medical examination, including screening for drug use.

To access the registration portal, applicants are required to visit the university's admission portal, carefully read the registration guidelines and complete the application process.

Applicants are to pay:

  • Portal Access Fee – ₦3,000
  • Post-UTME Screening Fee – ₦2,000

Payments are to be made through the Remita WebPAY platform using MasterCard, Verve or Interswitch-enabled ATM cards.

The university announced that registration will close at 12:00 noon on Thursday, September 17, 2026.
