UNIPORT Vice-Chancellor Prof. Hakeem Fawehinmi Outlines Vision for Global Excellence at Maiden Congregation Meeting

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT), Professor Hakeem Babatunde Fawehinmi, has officially set the tone for his administration during his maiden Congregation meeting. Addressing the university assembly, Professor Fawehinmi called for a new era of "cooperation and unity" as the institution pursues a path toward global relevance. 

Professor Fawehinmi announced that his leadership would be anchored on five core pillars: excellence, accountability, innovation, inclusiveness, and staff welfare. He emphasized that the collective success of the university depends on a motivated workforce and a transparent administrative framework.

The Vice-Chancellor expressed deep appreciation to the University Council, led by Senator (Dr.) Olanrewaju Tejuoso, the University Senate, and the entire staff for their support during the transition period. He urged all staff members to align with the strategic goal of transforming UNIPORT into a world-class institution. 

"Our vision is clear," Fawehinmi stated, "but realizing it requires us to work together as a unified body committed to the pursuit of excellence."
