University of Abuja Concludes NUC Accreditation Exercise with High Praise
The University of Abuja (UniAbuja) has successfully concluded the National Universities Commission (NUC) accreditation exercise for several academic programs, with assessment teams commending the university's strong research culture, quality publications, and robust e-library services.
The programs assessed include BSc Broadcasting, Development and Communication Studies, Film and Multimedia Studies, Information and Media Studies, Journalism and Media Studies, Public Relations, Advertising, and Strategic Communication, Botany, Geology and Gemology, Economics, Nursing, MBA, and Executive MBA.
The teams, led by esteemed academics from various universities, praised the curricula as novel, rich, and innovative, aligning with NUC's BMAS and CCMAS benchmarks. They identified areas for improvement to enhance academic quality.
Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Mathew Adamu expressed appreciation for the NUC's efforts and assured that the university will address the noted grey areas to strengthen its academic programs and global competitiveness .
