University of Abuja (UOFA) Inaugurates Innovation Hub and Creative Technologies Board
The University of Abuja has inaugurated the Board for the Centre for Innovation Hub and Creative Technologies (IHCT), launching its Policy and Action Plan. Chaired by Professor Abdullahi Saleh Bashir, the initiative aims to enhance collaboration with technical partners for the benefit of students and the community.
On September 23, 2024, the University of Abuja (UofA) officially inaugurated the Board of the Centre for Innovation Hub and Creative Technologies (IHCT) during a ceremony held at the Main campus. The event was presided over by the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Aisha Sani Maikudi, who also launched the Centre's Policy and Action Plan.
In her address, Professor Maikudi emphasized the University’s commitment to fostering collaborations with technical partners to enhance the educational experience for students and contribute positively to the surrounding community. "We are ready to engage with more partners to ensure that our students are well-prepared for the challenges ahead," she stated.
The IHCT Board is chaired by Professor Abdullahi Saleh Bashir, the Dean of the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies. Other members of the board include Professor Taibat Atoyebi, Dr. Abel Osagie, Mr. Johnson Oluwasoji Thomas, and Mrs. Taibat Ajiboye. Together, they are tasked with guiding the Centre's initiatives aimed at promoting innovation and creativity in technology.
This inauguration marks a significant step for the University of Abuja in its quest to lead in technological advancements and enhance educational offerings for its students.
