University of Ilorin Governing Council Commends Outgoing Deputy Vice-Chancellors

The University of Ilorin's Governing Council has commended the outstanding contributions of its immediate past Deputy Vice-Chancellors, Professors Olubunmi Abayomi Omotesho and Suleiman Folorunsho Ambali, to the institution's growth and progress.
In a letter dated February 25, 2025, the Secretary to the Governing Council and Registrar, Mr. Mansur Adeleke Alfanla, FCIML, conveyed the Council's appreciation for the professors' diligent service. Professor Omotesho served as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), while Professor Ambali was the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Management Services) .
The Registrar praised Professor Omotesho's guidance, which led to significant advancements in curriculum development, research, and student affairs. He also commended Professor Omotesho's ability to promote collaboration and provide mentorship to students and staff.
A separate letter acknowledged Professor Ambali's successful implementation of initiatives that enhanced the efficiency and effectiveness of the university's management services. The Registrar recognized Professor Ambali's exemplary collaboration with other members of the university community.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Wahab Egbewole, SAN, presented the letters on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, stating that the Governing Council was impressed by the diligent service of both professors.
Professors Omotesho and Ambali's tenures as Deputy Vice-Chancellors expired on December 20, 2024, and they have been succeeded by Professors Taibat Odunola-Bakare and Mukhtar Adeiza Etudaiye .
