University of Maiduguri Battles Acute Water Shortage

The University of Maiduguri community is grappling with an acute water shortage due to flooding in Maiduguri and its environs, which has damaged the pipe network.

The Water Treatment Plant, responsible for supplying water to the university and surrounding areas, is working diligently to repair the damaged pipes and restore water supply as soon as possible.

In the meantime, the university's boreholes are being utilized to supplement the municipal supply, but their capacity is limited, exacerbating the water shortage on campus. Residents are urged to bear with the situation as efforts are underway to resolve the issue.

The university's Works, Physical Planning and Development Department assured that the Water Treatment Plant is working tirelessly to repair the pipe network and restore water supply to the university campus.
