University of Maiduguri Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Hosts Seminar on Optimizing Small Ruminant Surgical Outcomes

The University of Maiduguri's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is hosting its 109th Faculty Seminar Series, featuring Dr. Abubakar Mshelia Saidu as the presenter.

The seminar, scheduled for Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 1:40 pm, will take place at the Veterinary Lecture Theatre (VET. LT), Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Complex.

Dr. Abubakar Mshelia Saidu is a renowned Veterinary Surgeon and translational researcher with expertise in locally invented devices and adapted surgical techniques. His work focuses on stress management and outcomes in small ruminant surgeries, particularly in resource-limited settings. Dr. Saidu holds a DVM from the University of Maiduguri, an  from the same institution, and a PhD from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He is a Fellow of the College of Veterinary Surgeons Nigeria (FCVSN) and has published numerous peer-reviewed articles on veterinary surgery and related topics.
