University of Maiduguri J-Road Association Implements New Rule to Promote Community Harmony

The J-Road Association of the University of Maiduguri has introduced a new rule to address concerns about disturbances caused by car owners passing through J-Road at night.

The association received a petition from members regarding the use of full-beam car lights and flashing lights, which were causing discomfort to others in the area.

Following a meeting on February 7, 2025, the association has implemented a rule requiring all car owners to switch off their car lights or use dim lights when passing through or parking in J-Road. This measure aims to maintain peace and harmony within the community.

The association has warned that failure to comply with this rule will result in disciplinary action from the J-Road Disciplinary Committee. The move is intended to promote respect and unity among J-Road members, and the association encourages all members to cooperate in maintaining a peaceful and harmonious environment.
