TASFUED Appoints Dr. Oso as Acting Director, Health Services
The Management of Tai Solarin Federal University of Education, TASFUED, has approved the appointment of Dr. Oso Olufemi Adeyinka as Acting Director of Health Services, effective Tuesday, 1st September 2026.
The appointment underscores the University’s dedication to bolstering leadership within its Health Services Division, ensuring the sustained provision of efficient, responsive, and superior healthcare services to its community members, and adhering to the Federal Government’s tenured appointment policy for Directors in Directorates.
Dr. Oso is a medical practitioner with extensive experience in clinical and institutional healthcare practice. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, http://M.B.Ch.B, and a Master’s degree in Public Health, M.P.H, from Babcock University, obtained in 2017.
He began his primary education at St. Francis School, Ibefun, and completed it at Ladi-Lak Institute, Alagomeji, Yaba, Lagos. He subsequently attended Angus Memorial High School, Igbobi, Yaba, Lagos, for his secondary education.

Dr. Oso commenced his university education at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and later completed his medical degree at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, in 2003.
Following his medical training, he began his professional career at Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu, as a House Officer from 2004 to 2005. He subsequently served as Chief Medical Director of His Grace Hospital, Alagbole-Akute, in 2005, and later worked as a Locum Doctor at FEMTOB Specialist Hospital, Ijebu-Ode, from 2006 to 2008.
Before his new appointment, Dr. Oso served as an Assistant Chief Medical Officer at TASFUED, where he contributed to the delivery of healthcare services to the University’s staff and students.
In his new capacity, Dr. Oso is expected to provide strategic leadership for the University’s Health Services, consolidate existing achievements, and introduce initiatives aimed at further enhancing the quality, accessibility, responsiveness, and efficiency of healthcare delivery within the University community.
Meanwhile, the University Management has expressed profound appreciation to the former Director of Health Services, Dr. Gbenga Okusanya, for his exemplary service, dedication, and valuable contributions to the growth and development of the University.
Dr. Okusanya served as Director of Health Services from 2013 until the expiration of his tenure on 30th August 2026.
Management acknowledged his unwavering dedication, professionalism, and commitment to the well-being of the University community, noting that his contributions to the growth of the University’s Health Services are highly esteemed.
Management wished Dr. Okusanya continued success in his future endeavours and expressed confidence that his wealth of experience and expertise would continue to benefit the University community.
