UNIZIK Vice-Chancellor Warns Public About Fake Facebook Profile

The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, Professor Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyachie, has issued a warning about a fraudulent Facebook account impersonating him.
According to a press release dated 5th January 2026 from the University’s Information & Public Relations Office, the fake account—operating under the name “Bond Anyachie”—is using the Vice-Chancellor’s photos to mislead the public. The account can be accessed here: Fake Profile Link.
The University emphasized that this account is not authentic and does not represent Professor Anyachie. Members of the public are advised to ignore any communication or content originating from the fraudulent profile.
The only official Facebook profile of the Vice-Chancellor is: Official Profile Link.
To assist in removing the fake profile, the University has provided instructions for reporting it to Facebook:
- Visit the fraudulent profile: Fake Profile Link.
- Click Options (three dots) below the cover photo.
- Select Report profile.
- Choose Something about this profile.
- Select either Scam, fraud or false information or Fake profile. If “Fake profile” is chosen, identify it as a Public figure and provide the official profile link or the name “Bond Anyachie.”
- Submit the report.
