The Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) research team has achieved a significant milestone in the fight against prostate cancer. With a recent grant award of N34 million from the National Research Fund (NRF) of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETfund), they are poised to make a lasting impact on humanity and improve the quality of life for prostate cancer patients.

Prostate cancer remains one of the most prevalent cancers affecting males worldwide. Researchers are tirelessly exploring innovative treatment approaches to prevent, detect, and treat this disease. Among these dedicated scientists is the YABATECH team, comprising experts from diverse fields including Computer Engineering, Medical Biochemistry, Oncology, Pathology, Zoology, Pharmacognosy, Ethnopharmacy, Toxicology, and Pharmacology. Collaborators from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, and the University of Lagos join forces with YABATECH in this critical endeavor.
