Yobe State University Extends 2025/2026 Registration Deadline; Sets Dates for Late Entry

The Management of Yobe State University (YSU), Damaturu, has officially announced an extension of the registration exercise for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.

In a general circular released by the Office of the Registrar on February 2, 2026, the university informed all students and stakeholders that the regular registration period has been adjusted to allow for more flexibility.

New Registration Timeline

According to the statement signed by the Registrar, Isa Audu Dallari, the revised schedule is as follows:

Extended Regular Registration: Monday, February 2 – Saturday, February 7, 2026.

Late Registration Period: Monday, February 9 – Saturday, February 14, 2026.

Final Closure of Portal: Saturday, February 14, 2026.

Late Registration Penalty

The university administration emphasized that students who fail to complete their registration within the extended regular window will be subject to a late registration fee of ₦5,000. This charge will be applicable during the final week of the exercise.

Final Notice

The Registrar warned that the university will not entertain any further registration requests after the February 14 deadline. Students who are yet to finalize their enrollment are strongly advised to utilize this grace period to avoid academic complications.
