Zakat Foundation Presents Scholarships to 12 ABU Students
The Zakat and Sadaqat Foundation (ZSF) has presented scholarships to 12 students of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria. Each student received ₦50,000 to support their educational pursuits.
The foundation's representatives highlighted its commitment to uplifting the less privileged and expressed hope that the scholarships would make a meaningful difference in the students' lives.
The ZSF was established in 2000 by The Muslim Congress (TMC) and has since disbursed over ₦2.3 billion to nearly 28,090 beneficiaries across 27 states in Nigeria. The foundation's interventions include poverty alleviation, education support, healthcare, entrepreneurship, and emergency relief.
In 2024 alone, the ZSF distributed ₦385 million in zakat to almost 2,897 individuals nationwide. The foundation's efforts have been recognized as a vital support system for those in need.
