In a remarkable feat of ingenuity, 17-year-old Isah Auwal Barde from Kano, Northern Nigeria, has earned a scholarship to study computer engineering at Baze University after constructing a fully functional remote-controlled robot using cardboard papers from scraps.

Isah Auwal shared insights into the materials used in creating the robot, mentioning local resources such as DC motors, copper wires, pipes, corrugated cardboard, and metal. "I use cartons, pen covers, bottles, and those materials that are not hard to get," he explained, emphasizing the affordability and accessibility of the materials.
Describing the robot's capabilities, Isah Auwal stated, "At the moment, the robot can mimic everything I do; if I move my hand up, the robot will also move its hand up, the same thing if I move my hand down."

Expressing his aspirations, Isah Auwal revealed his dream to study robotics engineering to contribute to addressing security challenges in Nigeria. Despite this, he has been awarded a bachelor's degree scholarship to study computer engineering by the Nigerian government.
Isah Auwal sees his current accomplishment as just the beginning, with plans to create more advanced robots. "This is just my starting point; my dream is to build artificial intelligence robots that can control themselves without any remote control," he expressed.
