The vice chancellor of the university, Prof. Stella Chiemeke, stated this shortly after the flag-off ceremony of the Tertiary Institution Social Health Insurance Programme(TISHIP) at the state university, Agbor, by DSCHC.

She said: “The students are here today to key into all the benefits of being members of the Delta State Health Insurance Scheme. For the University of Delta, everybody is happy to hear that they have paid their school fees. It is easier for them to key into it.

“The new intake are about 3,000 and they are still registering in different faculties. For the initiative, it is a good one where children will have a little money in their card and are able to access quality healthcare.

“As a Delta state worker, I have my own card, now we are extending it to students whereby they can go to any clinic and access health.
