Amber Goodwin, a resilient 41-year-old woman, has realized her lifelong dream of becoming a lawyer, two decades after graduating from college. Her inspiring journey demonstrates that it's never too late to pursue one's aspirations.

Two decades ago, Amber graduated from college with the hope of immediately attending law school.

However, her applications were met with rejection. Undeterred, she went on to earn a master's degree while simultaneously establishing the Community Justice Action Fund (CJAF), a gun violence prevention program focused on communities of color. She also built a successful career on Capitol Hill.

At the age of 38, Amber decided to give law school another shot. She received an acceptance letter from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, in the United States.

Her story is a testament to resilience and determination. She expressed her motivation in a Twitter post: "I'm going to keep applying places, and they have to tell me no. I'm not going to call the question on myself. If people tell me no, then that's on them, and I'll just keep trying."

Amber celebrated her accomplishment of finally becoming a lawyer at the age of 41, and she encouraged other women to pursue their dreams, regardless of age. In a tweet, she said, "Sorry, not sorry in advance for all the law graduation photos y'all are about to get. I'm 41, never been married, have no kids, and most days, society refuses to celebrate people like me. It's been a very rough year, but this is a bright spot for many of us. It was all worth it."
