ABSU Announces 44th Matriculation Ceremony

The management of Abia State University Uturu has officially scheduled its 44th matriculation ceremony for the 2025/2026 academic session. The event will formally induct newly admitted students into the university community, marking the beginning of their academic journey.

Ceremony Details

  • Date: Friday, 27th February 2026
  • Time: 11:00 AM
  • Venue: University Pavilion, ABSU, Uturu

Eligible Participants

The matriculation exercise is compulsory for all newly admitted students who have completed the necessary registration requirements. Those expected to participate include:

  • Postgraduate students who are not graduates of ABSU.
  • First-year undergraduate students of the Regular Programme and the Institute for Continuing Education (ICE) who have paid their school fees.
  • Other duly admitted and cleared students who, for valid reasons, could not matriculate in their year of admission.

Regalia and Fees

Matriculating students are required to pay ₦15,000 for the hiring of matriculation regalia (gown and cap) and the official brochure.

  • Payment must be made at the ABSU Micro-Finance Bank, Uturu only.
  • Deadline for payment: Tuesday, 24th February 2026.
  • Collection of regalia begins on Wednesday, 25th February 2026.
