The College of Agriculture and Animal Science (CAAS), Mando, a specialized institution under Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has announced a major strategic shift toward intensive practical training.

The policy realignment complies directly with the newly revised agriculture curricula issued by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).

The Provost of the College, Professor Aliyu Mohammed Wakawa, disclosed the institutional transition during an interview on the sidelines of the Agriculture Curriculum Review Workshop held in Kaduna.

He noted that outdated training methods previously left graduates struggling to adapt to technologically advanced, automated systems in the agricultural sector."The college will work closely with NBTE for successful implementation of the revised curricula for agriculture courses," Professor Wakawa stated. "We believe this will enhance our capacity to produce graduates with practical and global competence."To achieve this, the college is restructuring its academic frameworks to hit the mandatory 70 percent practical benchmark mandated by the NBTE.
