ABU Zaria Plans to Achieve 70:30 Postgraduate to Undergraduate Intake Ratio by 2036

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has unveiled plans to increase its postgraduate enrollment with the aim of achieving a 70:30 ratio in postgraduate to undergraduate intake by the year 2036. This announcement was made by Prof. Kabiru Bala, the Vice Chancellor of the university, during an international conference organized by the Department of Mass Communication at ABU.

The three-day conference, held in collaboration with various organizations including the MacArthur Foundation and the Centre for Collaborative Investigative Journalism, commenced on February 26, 2024. It aimed to provide a platform for discussing solutions to pressing issues and fostering academic collaboration.
In addition to outlining the university's strategic vision for postgraduate education, the Vice Chancellor highlighted ABU's ongoing efforts to elevate its research capabilities and contribute to societal development.
