ABUAD Management Denies Allegations of Misconduct Against BCOS Chairman, Calls Claims “Baseless”

The Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti (ABUAD) has refuted a viral social media report alleging misconduct by the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) Chairman, Mrs. Dotun Olaitan, involving the theft of a decorative flower vase at the university’s hotel.

In an official statement signed by ABUAD’s Corporate Affairs Manager, Mr. Tunde Olofintila, the university dismissed the claims as false, describing them as “malicious” and “a figment of imagination.” According to the statement, the report surfaced following a visit by Mrs. Olaitan and her team to the ABUAD campus, where they stayed at the institution's five-star hotel from September 5th to 6th. The visit included a tour of ABUAD's facilities and a special interview with Chief Afe Babalola (SAN), the university’s founder and revered legal luminary.

The story, ABUAD noted, has since been deemed baseless and damaging to the reputation of both the university and Mrs. Olaitan. The statement called on the public to disregard the claims, asserting ABUAD’s commitment to transparency and its high regard for guests and stakeholders.
