ABU's Faculty of Life Sciences Praised as Cornerstone of Academic Excellence

The Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Prof. Kabiru Bala, has described the institution's Faculty of Life Sciences as the cornerstone of academic excellence.

Prof. Bala made the remarks at the Faculty's End of Year Luncheon, held at the Assembly Hall, Main Campus, Samaru, Zaria. He was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Advancement, Research and Innovation, Prof. Sanusi Aliyu Rafindadi.

The Vice-Chancellor commended the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Maryam Aminu, for recognizing and rewarding excellence among faculty members. He noted that the gesture would inspire others to achieve similar milestones in the coming years.

The Dean, Prof. Aminu, disclosed that one of the Faculty's greatest accomplishments in 2024 was the submission of its results to the Senate Standing Committee and the subsequent approval by the Senate. This achievement has enabled the graduating students of the Faculty to be officially included in the upcoming convocation of the University, scheduled for January 25, 2025.
