Adamawa State NYSC Camp Fosters Togetherness Among Corps Members

The NYSC camp in Adamawa State has introduced an innovative approach to enhance teamwork, responsibility, and inclusiveness among corps members. As part of this initiative, the camp administration has implemented a system where corps members participate in daily cooking duties, under the supervision of camp kitchen staff.

In an interview, a platoon member expressed enthusiasm about the experience, describing it as "fun" rather than challenging. She noted, “This exercise not only fosters individual responsibility but also promotes the spirit of togetherness, dedication, and service among corps members.”

The camp kitchen staff have praised the NYSC administration for this initiative, reporting a significant reduction in their workload. This change has enabled them to provide food services more efficiently and in a shorter timeframe.

Although corps members are not directly involved in cooking, their role in overseeing the preparation process helps ensure transparency and quality. This measure addresses concerns about the use of cooking condiments, aiming to correct any misconceptions among corps members about the ingredients being used.
