ADSU Vice Chancellor Hands Over Site for Major Security Fencing Project at Abubakar Barde Campus

The Vice Chancellor of Adamawa State University (ADSU), Mubi, Professor Augustine Clement, on Wednesday, 7th January 2026, marked another historic milestone in the annals of the University with the official handover of the construction site for the blockwork perimeter fence at the Abubakar Barde Campus.

The project is a fulfillment of the promise made by the Visitor to the University and Executive Governor of Adamawa State, the Fresh Air Governor, Talk and Do Governor, the Project Master, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, during the combined 15th, 16th, and 17th Convocation Ceremonies held in November 2025. The intervention is aimed at addressing the growing security challenges facing the campus.

It would be recalled that on 12th December 2025, the Governor approved the construction of the blockwork perimeter fence for the Adamawa State University, Mubi during the State Executive Council meeting.

Leading other top members of the University Management, the Vice Chancellor formally handed over the site to the contractor, Biagham Keat Water Alliance Ltd, a reputable construction company engaged under the Adamawa State Government’s intervention projects for the University.

Speaking at the brief handover ceremony, Professor Augustine Clement expressed profound appreciation to the Visitor, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Dr. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for awarding the contract, describing it as timely and critical, especially in view of the prevailing security challenges across the nation. He urged the contractor to ensure quality delivery and strict adherence to the contractual completion timeline.
