ADUSTECH Students’ Union Commends University Management Over Stable Power Supply and Welfare Initiatives
The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH), Wudil, has issued an official statement praising the university’s consistent electricity supply and proactive approach to student welfare.
In a signed address dated January 23, 2026, the SUG President, Sen. Hassan Sunusi Kani, highlighted ADUSTECH as a standout institution among Nigerian universities for its "relatively stable" power infrastructure.
According to the Union, students currently benefit from more than 10 hours of daily electricity, with supply typically available during key study and lecture hours:
Morning/Afternoon Session: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Evening Session: 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
President Kani noted that while occasional disruptions occur due to national grid challenges from the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), the university’s internal management has remained committed to maintaining this schedule for the benefit of the student body.
The 2025/2026 SUG administration further emphasized its "tireless" collaboration with the university management to address emerging students' issues. The Union reaffirmed its role in advocating for the needs of the students while working in tandem with the administration to ensure a conducive learning environment.
"ADUSTECH remains a university we can all be proud of," the President stated, calling on the genuine student population to testify to the progress made in institutional stability.
