The Vice Chancellor of Bayero University, Kano, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, attended the 6th ECOWAS Parliament session, which took place from May 20-25, 2024, at Bristol Palace, Kano.

The session was inaugurated by President Bola Ahmad Tinubu, Chairman of the Authority of Head of States and Government of ECOWAS, marking the beginning of the 6th Legislature. The new Bureau members were elected, with Rt. Hon. Barau Jibril, Acting Speaker of the Sixth Legislature, and Senator Barau I. Jibril, First Deputy Speaker.
