The controversy deepened when it was revealed that Comrade Tobun had reportedly locked the office of the Transport Management Committee (TMC), which had been suspended by the house. An acting committee was subsequently appointed to manage the TMC’s affairs.

During a session convened to address the lack of access to amenities for students, the Executive-In-Council members were questioned about the denial of these benefits. They claimed there were no funds available to pay for the amenities, prompting the speaker to call for another sitting. The acting TMC Chairperson and secretary were invited to provide clarity.

However, Comrade Tobun reportedly could not recall the specific date he received the money. Additionally, he was unable to account for N120,000 paid by the executive members of LASULAWS for the use of LASUSU buses, which had been deposited into an account owned by one Muiz Ogundeji.
