Kaduna State University Embraces Student-Centered Approach as NANS Leadership Meets with Vice Chancellor"
In a significant step towards fostering a student-centric environment, Prof. Abdullahi Ibrahim Musa, the Vice Chancellor of Kaduna State University (KASU), welcomed the leadership of the National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS) on January 16, 2024.

The meeting, which took place in the Vice Chancellor's office, saw the Deputy Dean of Students Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Dauda, introducing the executive and legislative arms of NANS. President Chibuzor Pedro Obi commended Prof. Musa's student-centered approach and praised the institution's open-door policy.
During the dialogue, Obi appealed to the Vice Chancellor to consider absorbing heads of student union government into the workforce after graduation. Prof. Tukur Abdulkadir, the Dean of Student Affairs, encouraged NANS leaders to discharge their responsibilities justly.
In response, Prof. Musa affirmed his commitment to transforming KASU into a student-centered university. He outlined plans for converting lecture theatres to solar power, creating a conducive learning atmosphere. The Vice Chancellor also mentioned upcoming initiatives, including affordable laundry and catering services for students.
Surprisingly, Prof. Musa offered placement for the NANS President upon completion of his doctoral studies. The event, attended by key university officials and NANS representatives, showcased the collaborative spirit between the university and student leadership.
