Ahmadu Bello University Alerts Graduating Students on NERD Clearance Requirement

Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, has issued a directive to graduating students regarding the requirement for Nigeria Education Repository and Databank (NERD) clearance for National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) mobilization.

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has introduced a policy requiring graduating students to obtain NERD clearance before proceeding to NYSC mobilization. This policy will be effective from the 2025 Batch "C" mobilization.

Graduating students are expected to visit the NERD portal or website and follow the steps outlined to obtain their clearance. The required documents include; Functional email address, Soft copy of Thesis/Project, Certificate/Statement of Result, Passport photograph and NIN Number/Slip.

Students will be required to upload a copy of their Certificate or Statement of Result for attestation purposes. Upon verification, the uploading link for Thesis/Projects will be sent to the students. The NERD clearance slip can be obtained on the ABU portal or Room 122, First Floor, Senate Building.

The university emphasizes the importance of complying with this requirement to ensure smooth NYSC mobilization. Students are advised to complete the process in a timely manner to avoid any delays.
