Ahmadu Bello University Hosts 2024 Tree Planting Campaign

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) is pleased to announce its 2024 Tree Planting Campaign, themed "Greening the Blue through Tree Planting". This year's campaign is aligned with the 2024 World Environment Day theme, "Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience".

The event, scheduled for Wednesday, 5th June, 2024, at 10:00am at the Assembly Hall, will feature the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, Kaduna State, Dr. Abubakar Buba, as the Special Guest of Honour. His Highness, the Emir of Zazzau, Malam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, CFR, LLD, will graciously serve as the Royal Father of the Day. Former Vice-Chancellor, Ahmadu Bello University, Prof. S.U. Abdullahi, will chair the occasion.

The ABU Tree Planting Committee invites members of the university community and the general public to join in this noble initiative aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and land restoration.
