Ahmadu Bello University Hosts Workshop on Security Training for Personnel

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) organized a workshop on 'Effective Guard and Management System' for its security personnel on Thursday, October 17, 2024. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, urged the security officers to remain disciplined and polite while carrying out their duties.

Speaking at the event held at the Abdullahi Smith Lecture Theatre, Prof. Bala, represented by his Special Assistant, Malam Auwal Mohammed Yusuf, commended the University's Security Division for organizing the workshop. He emphasized the importance of the training as part of capacity development, urging that the knowledge gained be applied in service.

In his opening remarks, the Acting Chief Security Officer, Malam Ashiru T. Zango, expressed gratitude to the University Management for supporting the initiative. He highlighted his focus on training, unity, and discipline within the security team since assuming office.

The workshop was conducted by Dr. Hafiz Shehu Ringim, Manager of International Security Organisation (ISO-SEC) Northern Region, who thanked the University for the opportunity to contribute to enhancing the skills of the security personnel.
