UNILAG ANUPA Sets Date for 2024 AGM and Leadership Elections

The Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA), University of Lagos (UNILAG) Branch, has announced its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and executive elections, scheduled for Thursday, December 12, 2024.

Key positions to be contested include Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, Financial Secretary, Publicity Secretary, Training/Welfare Officer, and Legal Officer.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates vying for any position must meet the following requirements:

• Submission of a formal notice of intention to the Electoral Committee Secretariat, endorsed by two active financial members.
• Completion of a nomination form provided by the Electoral Committee.
• A minimum of three years as a financial member of the Association.
• Additional qualifications are required for certain positions, including senior administrative ranks for the Chairman and Vice Chairman roles and an LL.B for the Legal Officer position.

Only financial members will be eligible to vote or run for office. Candidates are also required to submit a 150-word vision statement outlining their plans for the Association.

Election Timetable

• November 18: Advertisement of vacant positions.
• November 19–26: Collection and submission of nomination forms at designated locations.
• November 27: Screening of nomination forms and candidates at the Council Committee Room.
• November 28: Publication of eligible candidates and commencement of campaigns.
• December 12: Voting, counting, and announcement of results.

The elections will be conducted under the guidance of the Electoral Committee, chaired by Mrs. C.H. Oribayo and Secretary Mr. S. Musa. Members are encouraged to participate actively to shape the future leadership of ANUPA UNILAG.
