ATBU Community Mourns the Passing of Alumnus Comrade Khalid Yusuf Shafa
The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) community mourns the loss of Comrade Khalid Yusuf Shafa, a distinguished alumnus of the Department of Biochemistry and a member of the 41st Balewites.
The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) community is deeply saddened by the untimely demise of Comrade Khalid Yusuf Shafa, a distinguished alumnus of the Department of Biochemistry and a prominent member of the 41st Balewites. His passing has left a void in the hearts of all who knew him.
Comrade Khalid Yusuf Shafa was a man of exceptional dedication, leadership, and selfless service. During his academic journey at ATBU, he played pivotal roles in student leadership, leaving an indelible mark on the university community. He served as the President of the Faculty of Science from 2019 to 2021 and was a Senator representing the Department of Biochemistry in the 4th and 5th Student Representative Assembly (SRA) of the Students’ Union Government (SUG).
His unwavering commitment to the welfare of students and the development of the university made him a revered figure among his peers and the academic community. Comrade Khalid’s contributions and leadership qualities exemplified the values of hard work, dedication, and selflessness, earning him admiration and respect from many.
The ATBU community collectively mourns the loss of this promising gentleman whose legacy will forever be cherished. His passing is a significant loss not only to the university but also to all who had the privilege of working with him.
