Bauchi State Governor Inaugurates Visitation Panel for Sa'adu Zungur University

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, has inaugurated a high-level visitation panel for the state-owned Sa'adu Zungur University.

The panel's primary objective is to address the recent agitations by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) branch of the institution regarding improved working conditions.

The visitation panel, comprising esteemed professionals and education experts, is tasked with investigating the root causes of the recent industrial action by ASUU members. They will also review the financial operations of the institution and develop a framework for effective and harmonious operations.

Governor Bala Mohammed emphasized his administration's commitment to education, highlighting progressive increases in budgetary allocation to the sector. He urged the panel members to leverage their expertise to achieve meaningful results, citing the need to address the challenges facing the institution, particularly the strained relationship between ASUU, NASU, and the management.

 

The panel has been given eight weeks to complete its assignment and submit a detailed report to the state government. The visitation panel's recommendations are expected to provide a roadmap for addressing the challenges facing Sa'adu Zungur University and enhancing its overall performance.
