Bayero University Commends Security Agencies for Proactive Measures

The management of Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has praised the security agencies in Kano State for their proactive measures in addressing challenges and ensuring the safety of the university community during the recent End Bad Governance national protest.

Led by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, the management team visited the heads of security agencies in the state, including the Commander, Three Brigade, Nigerian Army, Bukavu Barracks, the Kano State Police Commissioner, and the Director of State Service.

Professor Abbas expressed profound appreciation for the deployment of personnel to the university during the protest period, which helped maintain peace and calm on campus. He noted that the university's campuses have been targets of attacks by hoodlums, but the presence of troops thwarted these attempts.

The management team also commended the Commandant of Janguza Barracks for his cooperation and support.
