Bayero University Inaugurates Caretaker Committee, Inducts 217 New Members
The Bayero University, Kano (BUK) branch of the Association of Nigerian Universities Professional Administrators (ANUPA) has inaugurated its Executive Caretaker Committee (CTC) and inducted 217 new members into the association.
The event, which took place on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at the Abubakar Adamu Rasheed Senate Building, New Campus, BUK, marked a significant milestone in the history of ANUPA BUK branch.
The National President of ANUPA, Dr. Victor Mkuma Bem, delivered a keynote address, emphasizing the crucial role of professional administrators in the success of universities. He urged members to uphold ethical conduct, mentoring, and counseling, while ensuring a cordial working relationship with the Registrar's office.
During the induction ceremony, Dr. Bem administered the Oath of Allegiance to the 217 newly inducted members, officially recognizing them as part of ANUPA. The Secretary of the CTC, Malam Mustapha Isa, provided an overview of the induction process and certification requirements for new members.
The Acting Head of BUK's Legal Unit, Barr. Kabiru Abdullahi, administered the ANUPA Code of Conduct, leading the newly sworn-in CTC members of BUK branch in their Oath of Allegiance.
The Chairman of ANUPA BUK Branch, Malam Haruna Aliyu, represented by Vice-Chairman Hajiya Aishatu Dahiru, expressed gratitude to the university management and the national body of ANUPA for their support.
