Bayero University, Kano Appoints Three New Deputy Vice-Chancellors
Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has appointed three new Deputy Vice-Chancellors: Professor Harun Musa (Academics), Professor Amina Mustapha (Research and Development), and Professor Aliyu Muazu (Management Services).
Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has officially appointed three new Deputy Vice-Chancellors, who received their letters of appointment on Friday, February 28, 2025. The newly appointed officials include Professor Harun Musa as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), Professor Amina Mustapha as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Development), and Professor Aliyu Muazu as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Management Services).
The appointees are set to assume office on Monday, March 3, 2025, succeeding their predecessors who have completed their two-term tenure.
A special ceremony was held at the CBN Centre of Excellence to present the appointment letters, which also served as a grand reception to honor the outgoing Deputy Vice-Chancellors for their dedicated service to the institution.
During the event, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, accompanied by the Registrar, Haruna Aliyu, formally handed over the appointment letters. He extended congratulations to the newly appointed DVCs on behalf of the University Council, Senate, Congregation, staff, and students. Professor Abbas expressed confidence in their leadership capabilities and commitment to the advancement of BUK, wishing them success in their new roles.
The new Deputy Vice-Chancellors are expected to bring their wealth of experience and expertise to further enhance the academic and administrative excellence of Bayero University, Kano.
