Bayero University Kano Students Call for Urgent Construction of Toilet Facility at Oldside Library

Students of Bayero University Kano (BUK) have appealed to the university management and the Students' Union Government (SUG) to construct a modern and hygienic toilet facility at the Oldside Library.
The students, led by Yusuf Samba, a concerned student, highlighted the urgent need for a toilet facility at the library, citing the discomfort, health hazards, and disruption to studies caused by the lack of this essential amenity.
The absence of a toilet facility has led to unhealthy practices, pollution, and unpleasant odors around the library premises. Students are forced to leave the library to find alternative restrooms, disrupting their study flow and reducing productivity.
The students commended the SUG for their dedication to student welfare and efforts to improve campus life. However, they strongly appealed to the SUG and university management to prioritize the construction of a toilet facility at the Oldside Library.
The provision of a well-maintained toilet facility will improve students' comfort, hygiene, and overall academic experience. The students urged the university management to take immediate action to address this long-overdue issue, which will benefit thousands of students and create a healthier, more conducive academic environment.
