Bayero University Launches Exam-Free Professional Certificate Courses

 Bayero University Kano (BUK) has introduced professional certificate courses in collaboration with the Director of Consultancy Services.

The courses, launched on June 29, 2024, at the Faculty of Life Sciences board room, aim to empower professionals with the latest skills and knowledge.

The 8-week courses, held on Saturdays, do not require examinations, and certificates will be issued based on attendance. Participants can enroll in one course at a time.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, represented by Professor Tijjani Hassan Darma, commended the initiative, highlighting BUK's collaborations with national and international bodies to enhance training and capacity development.

The Dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences, Professor Usman Aliyu Dutsinma, welcomed participants and thanked them for trusting BUK. He explained that the courses aim to enhance professionals' skills and provide certificates to showcase their expertise.

The DVC Academics, Professor Sani Muhammad Gumel, praised the initiative, stating that it demonstrates BUK's commitment to innovation and competitiveness.

The Director of Consultancy Services, Dr. Jibril I. Jibril, urged participants to utilize the opportunity to acquire skills and knowledge, hinting at future integration with Artificial Intelligence.

The courses received 110 applications, with 60 completed registrations and 15 virtual participants.
