The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced the release of the results for the 2023 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) conducted for private candidates across Nigeria. Moyosola Adesina, the acting head of public affairs for WAEC Nigeria, confirmed the release of the results in a statement shared on Tuesday evening, February 13.

According to Adesina, a total of 80,904 candidates sat for the examination (2023-second series), out of which 46,267 candidates successfully obtained a minimum of five credits. This achievement represents 57.19% of candidates who obtained credit and above in a minimum of five subjects, with or without English Language and/or Mathematics.

Additionally, 35,830 candidates, representing 44.29% of the total, obtained credit and above in a minimum of five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics. The release of the WASSCE 2023 results marks a significant milestone for candidates who have been eagerly awaiting their examination outcomes.

Candidates who participated in the examination are advised to visit the WAEC result portal at www.waecdirect.org to check their results. They can also access digital copies of their certificates on the WAEC digital certificate platform at www.waec.org.
