BUK's Chancellor Receives TETFund’s NRF Team for Monitoring and Evaluation of Research Grants

The National Research Fund’s (NRF) screening and monitoring team from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TetFund) have visited Bayero University , Kano to monitor the project implementation.

Speaking when they paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Sagir Adamu Abass on Monday 3rd July, 2023 in his office, the leader of the team, Prof. Abubakar Musa Kundiri  said the team was in the University to see what researchers have done and how they have effectively utilized the funds allocated by the agency for the project.

While presenting special complimentary greeting from the Executive Secretary of TETFund, Mr. Sunny Echono to the Vice Chancellor, Prof Kundiri disclosed that the team would evaluate and give recommendations on its assignment.

Responding, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Sagir Adamu Abass while welcoming the team to the University said BUK has always been giving a level playing grounds to evaluation and assessment teams.

He said the university welcomes suggestions and recommendations on how to improve on what it is doing. He described Prof. Kundiri as a diligent and committed person in all his dealings.

 

Earlier while introducing the team, the Deputy Director, Directorate of Research Innovation and Partnership (DRIP) Prof. Ibrahim Adamu Yakasai explained that the team was in BUK to monitor and evaluate funds given to researchers in 2020 to execute their various research projects
