CECDI Pays Advocacy Visit to CMD of FUTH Lafia on COMBAT DR-TB Project

The Program Officer of the Child Education and Community Development Initiative, CECDI, Mr. Chris Allu F., alongside his entourage, paid an advocacy visit to the Chief Medical Director of the Federal University Teaching Hospital, FUTH, Lafia, Dr. Ikrama Hassan, on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.

The visit was aimed at strengthening the existing partnership with the hospital and formally introducing the COMBAT DR-TB PROJECT.

During the visit, Mr. Allu highlighted the objectives of the COMBAT DR-TB project, which focuses on improving the detection, treatment, and community support for Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis patients. He solicited the support and collaboration of the hospital management for the effective implementation of the project within FUTH Lafia.

In response, the Chief Medical Director welcomed the initiative and reaffirmed the hospital’s commitment to partnering with CECDI to combat TB and improve healthcare delivery in the state.
