CIPSSON Members Commit FUNAAB to God, Call for Professionalism

Members of the Chartered Institute of Professional Secretarial Staff of Nigeria (CIPSSON), FUNAAB Branch, on January 21, 2026, committed the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) community into God’s hands through a special prayer session, while also urging members to uphold professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

The prayer meeting, organised to dedicate the University Community to God at the beginning of the year, was held at the Postgraduate School Auditorium and attracted a large turnout of Institute members.

In her Welcome Address, the President of CIPSSON, FUNAAB Branch, Mrs. Oluwakemi Johnson, expressed gratitude to God for granting members the grace to witness another year. She also appreciated the University Management for approving the inauguration of the Institute within the University.

Mrs. Johnson charged members to consistently demonstrate professionalism, dedication, and commitment in their official responsibilities, stressing that professional secretarial staff remain the backbone of effective administration.

In her remarks, Dr. Elizabeth Adediran, Head of the Department of Professional Diploma in Education and NCE Part-Time Programme, Directorate of Continuing Education, Federal College of Education, Osiele, encouraged CIPSSON members to pursue further education while in service. She noted that continuous training and retraining are essential for career growth, improved competence, rapid promotion, and recognition in the workplace.

The prayer session featured praises and intercessory prayers for the University Management, staff, students, and the nation, led by Mrs. Omolola Omotoso, Mr. Matthew Adeogun, and Mr. Idris Sulaiman.
