Christ the King College (CKC) Onitsha in Anambra State, Nigeria, hosted a grand reception for its students who emerged as gold medalists in the prestigious World Affairs Challenge competition held in Denver, Colorado, USA. The event, organized by WorldDenver, focuses on empowering high school students to devise innovative solutions for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), addressing issues such as climate change, poverty, and inequality.
The winning team, affectionately dubbed the "Golden Boys," impressed the judges with their project titled "Wise Tales by Primus," a series of digital comic stories aimed at raising awareness about environmental degradation, climate change, and substance abuse among young people. The students, alongside their coach Mr. John Onuigbo, triumphed over competitors from the US, Turkey, and African Regional Champions to claim the global championship.
