Aspiring economics scholars are encouraged to take note of these criteria to ensure a smooth application process.

Clifford University, known for its commitment to academic excellence, has outlined the following admission requirements for students seeking to pursue economics at the institution, Prospective students should possess two 'A' level passes, one of which must be in Economics. The second 'A' level pass can be in any of the following subjects: Mathematics, Statistics, Geography, Accounting, Business Management, History, or Government.  Candidates with an OND qualification are eligible for admission if they hold an OND with Upper Credit in Economics or relevant disciplines, in addition to meeting the standard UTME (Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination) requirements.

For applicants with an HND qualification, they must have at least a Lower Credit in Economics or relevant disciplines, in addition to meeting the UTME requirements. As an alternative pathway, students can present the final certificate of recognized professional bodies, in addition to the UTME requirements, to be considered for admission. Candidates must have five credit passes in specific subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and any two other relevant subjects. These credit passes should be obtained at not more than two sittings in examinations such as the GCE (General Certificate of Education), SSCE (Senior Secondary Certificate Examination), or equivalent qualifications.
