COOU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kate Omenugha Visits UNIZIK; Extends Invitation for 16th Convocation Ceremony

The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Prof. Bond Ugochukwu Stanley Anyaehie, yesterday April 14, 2026, received the Vice-Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha, during a courtesy visit to his office.

Prof. Omenugha, who was an academic staff member of UNIZIK until her elevation was warmly received by the Vice-Chancellor and members of the university management.

During the visit, Prof. Omenugha who also was the First Director of UNIZIK 94.1 FM expressed appreciation for the reception accorded her delegation and offered prayers for a successful and impactful tenure for the UNIZIK Vice-Chancellor. 

She noted that the purpose of her visit was to formally extend an invitation to Prof. Anyaehie to attend the 16th Convocation Ceremony of COOU, scheduled to hold from April 21 to 25, 2026.

In his response, Prof. Anyaehie thanked her for the visit and the invitation, describing the gesture as a reflection of the cordial relationship between both institutions. He assured the delegation of his goodwill and expressed readiness to identify with COOU despite his tight schedule.

The COOU delegation included the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration and Environmental Sustainability, Prof. A. C. Nweke; Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Development and Uli Campus Affairs, Prof. Sylvia Okonkwo; and the Public Relations Officer, Dr. Harrison Madubueze.

On the UNIZIK side, present were the Registrar, Dr. Chinenye Gloria Okeke; Special Adviser to the Vice-Chancellor on ICT, Prof. Ikenna Onyenwe; the Special Adviser on Administrative Matters, Mr. MacAnthony Obiezeani; and other principal officers of the university.
