CUSTECH Pro-Chancellor Honored with Colloquium at Federal University Lokoja

The Chairman of the Governing Council of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Professor Emeritus Olu Obafemi, has been honored with a prestigious colloquium at the Federal University Lokoja.

The event was held as part of the institution's 9th Convocation activities and attracted scholars and academics who gathered to celebrate Prof. Obafemi's outstanding contributions to educational development in Nigeria.

The colloquium, themed "Olu Obafemi and the African Indigenous Knowledge System (AIKS)," was chaired by Professor Femi Osofeso. Speakers at the event extolled Prof. Obafemi's remarkable contributions to nation-building through education, highlighting his invaluable role in shaping the academic landscape in Nigeria.

The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja, Professor Olayemi Durotimi Akinwumi, commended Prof. Obafemi for his mentorship of numerous academics both within Nigeria and internationally. He noted that Prof. Obafemi's influence has left an indelible mark on the country's educational sector.

The Vice-Chancellor of CUSTECH, Engr. Professor Abdulrahman Asipita Salawu, acknowledged Prof. Obafemi's unwavering stance on discipline, noting that this quality has been transferred to everyone who has had contact with him. He described the Pro-Chancellor as a role model whose principles continue to inspire excellence in academic and administrative conduct.
