EBSU Opens Applications for 2024/2025 Postgraduate Programs

Ebonyi State University is now accepting applications for its 2024/2025 postgraduate programs, including Ph.D., M.Sc., MPA, PGD, PGDE, PGDN, MILD, and LLM. Eligible candidates must meet specific requirements, such as having credit passes in relevant O’Level subjects.

 Ebonyi State University (EBSU) has announced the opening of applications for its 2024/2025 postgraduate programs. The university is inviting qualified candidates to apply for various advanced degrees, including Ph.D., M.Sc., MPA, PGD, PGDE, PGDN, MILD, and LLM.

To be eligible for admission, applicants must meet the specific requirements set by the EBSU School of Postgraduate Studies:

- General Requirements: All candidates must have at least a credit pass in O’Level English Language. For programs in Medical/Para-Medical Sciences, Pure and Applied Sciences, and related fields, a credit in Mathematics is required. However, for Postgraduate degrees in Management Sciences, Arts, Social Sciences, and Law, a pass in Mathematics may be acceptable. Exceptions apply to Economics, Accountancy, and Banking and Finance, which require a credit pass in O’Level Mathematics.

- Postgraduate Diploma (PGD): Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree from EBSU or another recognized institution, or a Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least an upper credit in a related discipline. Those with a third-class degree may be considered if they meet specific criteria. Candidates with an HND at lower credit level and relevant work experience of three years are also eligible.

- Master of Science (M.Sc.): Candidates should have a good second-class honors degree or its equivalent from EBSU or another approved university. EBSU Postgraduate Diploma holders or those with a PGD from recognized institutions with a CGPA of at least 2.5 on a 5-point scale or a 60% average are eligible for the M.Sc. programs.

- Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.): Applicants must have a Master's degree in a relevant field from an approved university. A minimum CGPA of 3.50 on a 5-point scale is required for Ph.D. candidates.
