EFCC Arrests 24 Suspected Internet Fraudsters at Bayero University Kano

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has apprehended 24 suspected internet fraudsters in a sting operation conducted opposite Bayero University Kano New Site.

The suspects, all undergraduate students of the university, were arrested based on actionable intelligence regarding their alleged involvement in cybercrime activities.

The operation yielded various items, including mobile phones, laptops, internet routers, and a Honda Accord car. The suspects will face charges in court upon conclusion of investigations, linked to alleged internet fraud, identity theft, and financial scams.
