Ekiti State University (EKSU) has promoted seventy of its teaching staff to the prestigious rank of Professor. The announcement, made by Vice Chancellor Professor Edward Olanipekun, highlights a significant milestone for the institution.

 

The promotions, which encompass various departments and faculties, are a testament to the university’s commitment to recognizing and fostering academic excellence. Prof. Olanipekun expressed his pride in the achievement, noting the broad impact across disciplines. “To God be the glory, we have promoted 70 academic staff to the rank of Professor,” he stated, underscoring the inclusive nature of the promotions.

Additionally, EKSU has seen a notable enhancement in its Faculty of Law, which now boasts seven professors, up from just two previously. This expansion is indicative of the university’s growth and its dedication to strengthening its academic departments.

The promotions also include the elevation of sixty staff members to the position of Reader, which is equivalent to Associate Professor.
